The Belvedere Stair Challenge is a race that celebrates the public lanes (aka "secret stairways") of Belvedere, California. The Belvedere Challenge traverses every single publicly-accessible two-way lane on Belvedere Island and Corinthian Island! Anyone can join!
The nitty gritty
Date: Saturday, Feb 15th, 2025
Time: 10 AM arrival for 10:15 AM sharp start
Start: Meet at the little park bench on the corner of West Shore Road and San Rafael Ave (see map)
Route: Aforementioned map
Walker’s Route: Everyone is welcome (even if you don’t want to climb any stairs!). We have a dedicated crew who walk from the start to Sam’s (usually with a pit-stop along the way at the playground) around the time
Finish: Sam's Anchor Cafe in Tiburon. We usually get there around ~11.
How to Register (there are three steps this year)
Fill out the Sign Up Form: This lets me know you’re joining (and you can order the optional t-shirt)
Fill out the Waiver Form. Everyone must sign the waiver if you’re participating.
Bring a genuine $2 bill on race day (ask your grandpa or local bank). Don’t forget! Your currency will be gathered and donated to help preserve the Belvedere lanes.
